Slugs are a well-known garden pest; they enjoy eating vegetation and can give the correct environment find themselves in doors. They also really enjoy damp areas such as cellars. Despite their appearance, Slugs do not cause a public health issue but do leave rather unpleasant trails. They are harmless and are classed as minor agricultural/amenity pest.
How to get rid of Slugs.
Control, ultimately, is best achieved by curing the damp problem. Having a well kept and maintained garden helps reduce the risk of slug activity, removing any old garden waste close to the affected area may also help. Slug pellets may be applied, with care, in accordance with the product label.
